JOHANNA WITHERBY has worked in post-production since graduating
from Wesleyan University with a B.A. in Film and Molecular Biology.
Most recently she assisted the finetune editing of Barbara Hammer's
Lover/Other. She was First Assistant Editor, Digital Effects Editor
and Post Production Supervisor on Pretend, an independent feature
film by Julie Talen shown at festivals internationally and Best
Fiction Feature winner at Festivalito, in the Canary Islands, Spain.
Prior to that, Johanna taught Final Cut Pro at the Film Makers Educational
Cooperative in Bridgeport, CT. Johanna associated produced Julie
Talen's 60 Cameras Against the War, which screened nationally, including
at The Whitney Museum of American Art, and produced the short film,
The Headliner. She also co-directed, shot, produced and edited The
Dn'D Gang, a feature documentary about Seniors citizens adjusting
to retirement and modern society, which explores the immigrant experience,
Bridgeport, CT's unique history, and WW2. Most recently Johanna
directed a music video for The Fever (Kemado Records). She is currently
at film school at University of Austin, Tx for directing.
